Ukhimath – Situated at a distance of 62 km from Kedarnath Dham, this place is very peaceful and pleasant. When the Kedarnath temple is closed for visitors, its sacred idol is enshrined in the seat of the Ukhimath.

Devriya Taal – Deoria Tal is 68 kilometers away from Kedarnath Dham. From here the amazing view of the snow-capped skyscrapers mesmerises the onlookers.

Shankaracharya Samadhi – It is said that in the 8th century, Adiguru Shankaracharya came to Kedarnath Dham and visited the temple and took samadhi here at the age of 32. This mausoleum is worth seeing. That’s why the devotees visiting here definitely visit his tomb.

How to reach Kedarnath

By Flight : The nearest airport to Kedarnath is Jolly Grant Airport. The distance from Kedarnath Dham to Jollygrant Airport is approximately 239 kms. After landing at Jollygrant Airport, you can take a taxi or bus from Haridwar or Rishikesh to Gaurikund.

By Train : Rishikesh is the nearest railway station to Kedarnath. Which is located at a distance of 216 kilometers from Kedarnath Dham. Rishikesh Railway Station is well connected to major railway stations of the country. From Rishikesh you can reach Gaurikund by bus or taxi and from Gaurikund you can easily reach Kedarnath Dham.

By Road : If you want to travel to Kedarnath Dham by road, then tell that National Highway 109 connects Rudraprayag and Kedarnath. Gaurikund is well connected by road to all nearby cities like Rishikesh, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri etc.
